FUN, FRIENDLY MATCH PLAY EVENTS THAT STRETCH INTO INFINITY!

Description: Created by coach Aruna and hosted first on October and November of 2021, these events are extremely fun. Our juniors who have already taken lessons and have learned to play full court tennis matches get endless opportunities to play friendly short format matches against each other and players from outside. They build lasting friendships within just a short period of time and find tennis partners to play with outside of lessons. We will be adding adult TournaFriend© soon! Since everyone gets to play everyone within a very short period of time they all have a blast!  We do doubles and singles TournaFriend© events depending on the number of participants.  If they don’t have a doubles partners we will pair them up.

Criteria to participate: Juniors Age 10 and up, AdvancedBeginner/Intermediate/AllStars/FSAdvBeg  – Kids must know how to play full court doubles with serves, and know how to score
Location: Hyde Park Quarries, 11400 N Mopac Expwy, Austin, TX 78759
Check-in Time: 5:00pm (after check in you can warm up.  If you come late you will have no time to warm up)
Start time: 5:30pm OnTheDot (late comers will have to wait to play and will lose a game as a penalty)  The draw is meticulously created and all matches start time is very important to finish on time.
Format: Total 4 games full court, No ad scoring.  At 2-2 they shake hands (each get 1 point).  We tally up the total points and the total games won and decide the winner and runner up.  1 girl and 1 boy gets a sportsmanship prize for the TournaFriend© as well as winner and runner up.
Deadline: Aug 6th, 2022 (payments, 1 can of NEW hard balls and liability forms all must be met by Aug 6th to get a spot for all new applicants)
Rain or other cancellation: If we get rained out we will schedule a rain make-up date which you will have to attend or if you have a conflict will have to miss without credit/refund/makeup just like our regular lessons. You know this ahead of time before you sign up so please make sure going in you are aware of this. We can only hold 1 rain-makeup date usually USTA tournaments do not hold!
Refunds/Credits/Makeups: Once you sign up and take a spot, there will be no refunds, credits or makeups if you have a conflict or cannot attend.  It effects the whole draw sheet and we have to find others to fill in or we will have a gap in the draw.
NOTE: The time includes check in, match play, matches complete and prize ceremony.  You can  drop off your kids and come for the prize ceremony but parents, grandparents, friends all are encouraged to come and cheer the kids on and all should join in helping us congratulate all at the end.  Prizes for 1st and 2nd place and sportsmanship awards will be given.
PAYMENT/What is included: Tennis rackets if you need to borrow one, court rental fees, coaching/umpire, prizes, water bottles. For our current students already in our program that signed up for all 4 for July Sunday classes you don’t need to pay bring 1 CAN of Hard yellow NEW tennis balls.  Everyone else must pay $50 registration fee and bring 1 can of brand NEW tennis balls.  In all our regular group tennis lessons balls are included, for TournaFriend© you must bring a new can regular yellow hard tennis balls.
